I am a SAHM which I love, love, love! I'm in love with working-out, photography, blogging, decorating, reading Jane Austin, old movies, the outdoors and shopping! The loves of my life are my incredibly H.O.T hubby and my three spicy-sweet kiddos. This is the outline of our lives.

"A Little Respect"

That just happens to be the first song in my new play list.  Oh yeah, I figured how to do that myself.  A little respect, please!  I figured that I should put a little disclaimer on my little play list for all of you moms out there that don't like the randomness of Opera, Techno, 80s, New Age, and oh so much more (meaning my mom!).  I must admit I (along with my hubby) claim to be the music connoisseurs!  We love our music.  You would think that we would grow out of it, but it has kind of stuck.  Fortunately, when I met Kel he had a lot of the same music taste as I (although, not as wide).  I hadn't had much luck with finding a guy that liked (or was even vaguely familiar with any artists) in the Techno (Dance not Trance) world.  Not only that, he was a Moby and Yanni fan!  Unheard of in the wide world (depending) of the male species.  But, for all of you that know Kel very well, you know that he was TOTALLY  a metro sexual - which I liked and still do:)  Of course his hygiene has gone down a bit:)  Music is definitely an outlet for me.  It can energize, relax, focus, or just take me on a walk down memory lane.  All of these songs have some kind of special meaning to me.  The song entitled, I'll Fly with You" is mine and Kel's "song."  We listened to that over and over when we were dating.  Probably much different than most traditional love songs, but... it's us.

  1. I love love love Pachelbel! And The Smith's are awesome. I like techno too, but Maris is not a big fan. He likes Reggae. If it came out of the 80's, I will probably like it. Yaz, Depeche Mode, Berlin, Alphaville...they just don't make it like that anymore!

  2. Cute! I love that you had an unconventional song together- that's darling.

I'm a huge music fan myself, but mostly because I visualize what I can create to that music (i.e. choreography.) I'm always looking for interesting, ORIGINAL stuff, so if you hear anything you think might make a swell dance, toss me some suggestions! Really, any interesting music excites me!

  3. Ditto. I often get teased about the random shuffle my ipod produces. Music is all about mood for me. When I am tired I might enjoy some Kenny Loggins (how much more eighties could you get!) or The Browns (that cute family of 5 Juliard kids that are all LDS and play classical piano). Sometimes I need some energy to get the houswork done so I throw down some George Micheal or MJ. I have TONS of church artists too. I used to get mercilessly teased by my family for that but I am so excited to now have an advocate for EFY-tyoe songs from my 13 year old daughter. Yay for me.
