Aubryn had a GREAT year at preschool! Ms. Nicki is just about the best teacher you could ask for. I am so proud of Aubryn and the great strides that she has made over this past school year. Preschool graduation was held at our house and after the "ceremony" Ms. Nicki had a number of field events planned and then play time! Here Bryn is competing in the long jump event.

UN.BE.LIEVABLE!!!!!!!!
Never ever go to Pat Lobb Toyota of Mckinney. On Saturday evening we were driving down the 75 to Dallas. All of a sudden our '08 Rav4 turns off, then turns on, turns off, and repeats this several times. We are literally going 70 miles per hour down the freeway and our car just completely turns off and on repeatedly. No power steering, lights, a/c, nothing. Of course we are driving in the HOV lane where there is no shoulder to pull off and the cone things are on the side of us blocking us from being able to get off of the road. Finally there was a few broken cones so Kel weaves out as fast as he can to dodge the next ones. We exit the 75 and our car totally dies. Won't restart, nothing. Kel thinks that there might be a short or bad connection so he checks and finds nothing. We then try to jump our car and nothing. A little later we try to jump again and it starts. We bought it less than a year ago brand new from the dealership off of the 75 in McKinney. We get back in the car and limp it back there. It continues to do the same thing. Meanwhile we are jerking back and forth in our car because of this, we feel a little reassurance because it is under warranty and whatever is wrong will be fixed. BOY, WERE WE WRONG! When we walk into Pat Lobb of McKinney and tell the receptionist guy what is going on this is what he says, "Sorry, the Service Department just closed. The ONLY WAY WE CAN HELP YOU IS IF YOU BUY A NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!" There was no, I'm so sorry to hear that, let me see what we can do to help you. NOTHING! We are shocked! Yeah, let's just go ahead and buy a new car! This one that we bought from you is working out so well for us and you have just been so helpful. Sign us right up!!! We tell him we need to talk to a manager. Finally after a LONG wait this slimy (literally inside and out) manager comes to us and treats us like we are the scum of the earth. He goes outside to look at our car with us and asks a list of ridiculous questions such as, "where do you get your car serviced?" We get our oil changed at Wal-Mart. He then sarcastically says, "that explains a lot." What?! Are you kidding me?! Because we get our oil changed at Wal-Mart our 10 month old car should turn completely off and on at 75 miles per hour repeatedly?! Wow, this guys was obviously not running on a full deck. Then he proceeds to say, "CAN'T HELP YOU UNLESS YOU BUY A NEW CAR."!!!!!!!!! OK, this is shear craziness! Understandably Kel started to get a little short with him and this guy did not like that. Who is above you? Tim Anderson. OK, we go inside. We need to talk to Tim Anderson. About 45 minutes later Tim comes strolling out. Great, he's also the stereotypical slimy car salesman. Greased back hair, gold chains, shirt undone. Terrific. Long story shortened a bit, he is very rude, doesn't want to lift a finger to help us. We ask who is in charge of the service department to see if we can call him and work something out for a loaner car so that we can leave our car there and go home. Impossible. Well, who's above him. "I am" he says. So you are above him, but you can't I mean won't help us. In the warranty pamphlets it states that if your car needs to stay overnight to be looked at that a loaner would be given. Oh no. Not if your car breaks down at 5:30 instead of 5 p.m. Apparently your warranty is void! OK, so Tim was no way no how going to help us. So we go out to our car just in complete awe. Jump it and the car continues the same thing on the way home until it just dies in the middle of the road on Elderado. We roll it into a parking lot and just sit there. We ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WE WERE SENT BACK HOME IN OUR CAR AND NOW WE ARE BROKEN DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IT WON'T JUMP AT ALL THIS TIME! What? How? Why? WOW! Unbelievable! Ended up getting it home awhile later and we still don't know what we are going to do about our car. We DON'T EVER want to go there again. We are just completely and totally...wow. Just please don't EVER CONSIDER GOING TO PAT LOBB TOYOTA OF MCKINNEY.

12 Graduate Credits Down!
What a relief to have this semester over and done with. Kel has really struggled with one of his finance classes in particular and he just found out that he passed! All he needed was a "C" to get the credit and that is what we prayed and hoped for. It is definitely glory, glory hallelujah here! We found out that after the semester started that 9 credits is considered full time in graduate school. We thought that it was 12 because that's what it is for your undergrad, so that's why he took so many credits. Add that to full time work, YM, family and all the odds and ends that need done it just about killed him. Kelly, I am so unbelievably proud of you! I knew that if anyone could juggle everything and succeed, it would be you. Here's to only two more semesters (of 12 credits each, eek!)!

That's Not Cool
Last night while I was catching up on my emails the kids were eating cinnamon rolls at the table. I hear Bryn say, "Beck, that's not cool. Here, I'll show you." He had apparently gotten down from the table without putting his stuff away. She then proceeds to show him while explaining that the paper plates go in the garbage can and the forks go in the dishwasher. It's times like these when I feel pretty proud of myself...I mean her!

Beckham's Backyard Beach Birthday Bash!
Hooray for the weather finally improving! After two post-poned (?) parties, Beck was finally able to celebrate his big day with his friends (all 16 of them!). It was a Hawaiian Luau of sorts and I think the kids had a blast. When we asked Beckham later that night if he had a fun party he answered, "Uh-huh!" very enthusiastically.

A Flood of Fun
Our little convo...
Me: (As I enter the bathroom where Bryn and Beck are bathing) Why?! Why?! (Kind of feeling like Nancy Kerrigan there) Why do you have to soak the house EVERY TIME you guys take a bath (in one of my many mean, loud, crazy voices) ?!!!!!
Aubryn: Mom, Jesus doesn't like people that are speaking in mean voices very much.
