Thursday through Sunday, Kelly and I were away for our five year anniversary.  It was GLOR-OR--OR-OR-IOUS!  Special thanks to my sister Robyn for manning the kids.  It started off Thursday evening at a place called Uncle Julios (love it!) for dinner.  Then off to Massage Envy for our 1 hour massages (FYI-1st timers only 39 buckeroos).  After rolling me off the table we were off to the Galleria Hilton for the night (sweet hotwire special)!  There we ran into a couple of friends that we haven't seen in over a year.  Small world.  Anyways, after a wonderful morning of sleeping in and breakfast in bed we were off to the Temple.  After that we headed to the Omni Resort in Las Colinas.  This is where we stayed the first night we moved here.  This time around Kel works with a friend that gave us the hook-up for the 25th floor with a view and balcony (cha-ching)!  After eating we went to the State Fair (some pics below).  After another glorious cry less morning we drove back to Frisco to go horseback riding.  Thanks to Darcy and Elizabeth for a 2fer!  This was the highlight of my weekend.  It was great being back up on a horse.  Kel and I have resolved that if we are to be in Texas long term we are getting some horses and a ranch!  Anywho, after napping poolside we went shopping at Southflake Square.  So fun!  I highly recommend it.  The last night we sat in the hot tub with our champagne glasses sipping some very expensive Martinelli's Sparkling Cider.   It has been a very great five years!

The State Fair

Ah, the State Fair. If you can believe this, Kel has NEVER been to a fair! OK, I guess we know who ISN'T the WT one in this relationship:) It was a lot of fun. We rode several rides and Kel won some stuffed animals for the kids. I didn't realize how expensive it is. They trick you into thinking that you aren't spending as much as you really are by making you purchase coupons and credits rather than pay cash for each individual activity. Of course when we see 8 coupons here, 20 coupons there, it doesn't seem like much but in the end this was the most expensive single activity of our entire trip! That's OK though because it was the highlight of Kel's weekend:)

The Omni is on the Mandalay Bay.  They do gondola rides if you're ever looking for a romantic evening!

Last weekend Kel and I went on a date to the Rodeo and then went to a place to eat that had all-u-can eat ribs for 10 bucks. It was pretty fun. I was trying to reduce the red eye on my computer and it just ended up making me look the Chucky doll:)

Cell Phone in Toilet

Beck threw my cell phone in the toilet today.  Bryn retrieved it about 3 hours later.  Needless to say I won't have  a phone for a few days and I also won't have any numbers anymore because we can't get the old one powered up.  Just wanted to let y'all know in case you were calling or leaving texts.  If you get the chance could you leave your numbers here:)  Thanks!

1st day of Preschool!

First day wasn't a tear- jerker like I thought it would be. Fortunately, Bree, Brianne, and my sis were there (nice enough to jog with me to drop her off) to help distract me:)

End of Summer...Wa, wa, waaa

Well, our Labor Day was pretty relaxing for the most part.  We went swimming at the gym pool and then ate some Little Caesar's with some friends at Hunter's Creek Park.  I am a bit torn with summer winding down and fall beginning.  I am so ready for some new fall clothes, but that also means that Aubryn starts preschool.  I don't know why, but I feel so sad about her leaving me.  I know that she is going to LOVE it and she's is in great hands.  I feel kind of scared to have to take care of Beck by myself now:)  Well, on the bright side, I won't be completely alone.  My lil' sis Robyn is coming to live with us tomorrow until she goes back to BYU-I in January.  So for those of you that need a babysitter, she is AMAZING!
