Alas, the three year bday post. I can hardly believe it. This little man has tugged at more of my heart strings than I ever thought I possessed. Of course, my love for my children is equal, just different. Beckham is different in the fact that he has always been so tender, so loving, so charming, so irresistible. He, very unlike his big sister, has always loved to just sit and snuggle with me. He loves to put his hands in my hair and tell me how much he loves me. I love it! It makes me sad in some ways that he is growing so big and taking my little baby away. On the other hand, I also love that his personality is blossoming more each day and it is so lovely to watch. Now don't get me wrong. He has a punk side to him, but thankfully, his total package is actually quite enchanting.
He and Aubryn are BFFs if I ever saw any. They are so fun to listen to and watch. They interact (most often) so lovingly. So much differently than I remember treating my next youngest brother. I have to give Aubryn props for being so motherly to him.
I was given a blessing while he was still in my womb that he would become a great orator, and boy, it started happening almost immediately. His ability to put words into sentences has been uncanny. His three loves are singing, books, and anything with wheels (particularly trains). He has known several primary songs by heart for over a year now. His favorite (and has known the longest) is I am a child of God. I can sing him a song and he will remember it almost verbatim after just one run through.
His heart isn't the only thing that is big. His body (particularly his cute ginormous head -after his father and grandfather M. is also larger than normal). :) His 3 year stats equal 40" tall which is in the 95th % and his weight is 38 pounds.
We love you so much Beckham. You make me happier than you could ever imagine.
