in the country

We have been taking many drives out in the country lately. I love how you can drive just a few minutes and you feel like you are in the heartland of Texas. Barns, rolling fields, long horns, horses and cows almost at your doorstep and still have civilization as well. Yesterday we ended up in one of these little towns for burgers and snow cones. We imagine having land, a barn, horses, a cow and chickens...maybe a dog...someday. I will definitely be back here for some photo shoots. Lots of pics. I would totally do a collage to make it more condensed, but that's just an extra step...

can't take my sunshine away

I have really become horrible about taking pictures of my kids as of late. We had kind of a last minute pool party with a few friends. It has been way too beautiful to let another day get away without one. We ended up being out for about 3 and a half hours. Enough to my make my cute kiddos burn, even after several applications of sun block.

I just love her sense of style. I like to think she gets it from me. :)

Easter Morn

This was us in our finest Easter morn. I didn't want to to put too much candy in their buckets since they had a couple of Easter egg hunts in addition. I'm so grateful that we know that Easter is so much more than just a little bit of candy in a bucket because if we didn't, the whole thing would seem pretty lame.
