This past Saturday we went to the
Book of Mormon pagent with Kel's aunt and uncle from OK. I am so glad that we did it as it is the last year that they are going to do it. It was over in Lucas near Allen at a member's ranch. It was SO well put together. We were in a large group and we went from scene to scene around their beautiful ranch watching the reinactment of the Book of Mormon. Everyone was really reverent and the Spirit was strong. My
two most favorite parts of the experience was after Lehi and Nephi told of the vision of the tree of life. After, they asked us to walk and hold on to the rod that they had made on our way to the next scene. Beautiful music was playing in the background that added to the ambiance. Beck walked in front of me holding on to the rod for its entire length. After we had arrived to the tree of life, Bryn was behind still walking and holding to the rod. Even though it was just a metal rod, I felt like it was really the word of God and I didn't want either of my kids to let go of it until we had reached the "tree." I was so happy that they held onto it until the very last inch and pray that it happens that way in real life as well.
My second favorite part was at the scene where Christ came down the Americas to visit the people. We heard a voice in the background that was supposed to be Christ. Beck asked what that was. I told him that it was Jesus. He started walking away from the group up towards the actors in the direction of Jesus' voice. I tried to hiss to him to get back here and he replied earnestly, "I'm going to see Jesus!" Of course because we had all been asked to be as quiet and reverent as possible, a lot of the group heard him. It was so precious.
Last night was almost the worst night of our lives. First of all Bryn is VERY physically gifted. She can do just about anything a 10 year could do, yet she's only 4. Well, last night we took a walk to the park and she was hanging upside down on the monkey bars. We have always been there to spot her, but I think that we have just kind of gotten used to her doing it and it wasn't as big of a deal. Plus we are just retarded sometimes. Long story short, she fell on her head and landed the worst possible way she could have. Kel and I were never so scared in our lives. We rushed over to her and excitedly told her NOT to move. Of course she did and then Kel was super bright and tried to force her back into her old position (he never took Advanced Wilderness First Aid like me. :) Guess a class like that really can come in handy. :)) I was trying to yell at him to stop touching her. Anyways, ends up that she is totally fine. Turns out prayers really do get answered. Whenever I think about it I feel like such a horrible parent and it makes me shudder to think how bad that could have been. Monkey bars are BANNED!
We decided to go explore downtown McKinney one night with the weather being so beautiful and all.
Oh yeah, have I ever said that I can't wait for my photoshop class to start at the end of the month?! Well, I can't! We have had it for awhile now and I am clueless. I am sick of my cheap actions making my pics look so saturated and crappy. Not that my pics will be so amazingly after I have learned, but hey - I'll take any little bit of help I can get!

See Kel in the background peering through that old abandoned building? What a weirdo!

Could he hold any more cars in his hands?! I mean really!
