Thanksgiving 2009 was spent with, as Elizabeth toasted to, "friends, the family you get to choose." This was the second Thanksgiving we were able to spend together. She hosted the first time and I the second. After a grand feast we spent the day watching the Cowboys game. I am so thankful for family and friends. They bring me so much happiness.

Can I just say how much I LOVE this family. Aside from being completely perfect on the interior and exterior, they are the sweetest, funniest, down to earth peeps I know. We both moved to this great land of Texas the same week from the same place (almost). Kelly went to the same high school as C dog and E bird. I'm so grateful for this wonderful family. And as Sarah says about her hubby, so I say about Elizabeth, "she just gets me"! Thank you for believing in me and allowing me to capture your crazy, funny, perfect beauty. Adriatica is quite popular. It has many great backdrops, but alas I am ready for something new!

First Photo Shoot!

Yesterday I was able to take some pictures (I mean a whole lotta pictures) for the cutest family ever. Actually, long story short, Brittany and I were in the same ward in Arizona. She and her fam moved to McKinney about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately, we have only seen each other once! She emailed me out of the blue a few weeks ago to take her family's pictures. Of course I was ecstatic! I was thinking that we should go to another location, but Brittany really liked Adriatica and I think she was totally right. Thank you Brittany, your family was so easy to work with not to mention amazingly beautiful! I've got a lot to learn, but I think the journey is going to be fun!

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

This was my first time shooting with no flash and I love it! Natural light REALLY is better! I kind of already knew it but didn't put it into action until my friend Stephanie told me that it REALLY is - so because she said so I had to do it. Also, thank you Nikki for telling me to use the URL because it is SOOOO much faster and SOOO much better! Kisses to both you girls honestly because I was just about to quit blogging because it takes SOOO long!

This pic was at the end of the "shoot" when he starting growling at me because he hated me so much! I may have overdone it with the props but I just wanted to experiment. :)

Elizabeth asked me to do the honors of taking their family Christmas pics this year (I know, what is she thinking?!) but hey, I'm free, so why not I guess. She requested this place called Adriatica. I don't even know if I spelled it right, but it is a fabulous location. I decided to go scout it out last week and snap a few quick pics of Beck before I had to pick Bryn up from pre-school. It sucked cause it was broad day light and Beck was totally squinting, but whatev. I think I might take both the kids tomorrow and get some of their Chrismtas pics done. A special shout out to Stephanie for helping me to learn LR! I love you!
