It's OFFICIAL!

Back to school, back to school, to show my M...AD SKILLZ!  J/K, I mean or the lack thereof.  Although, I never thought that I would be going back to a community college after I graduated with my undergrad.  HOWEVER, Kelly has catapulted my hobby into more of a reality.  He researched and researched and ordered a camera and extra lense for me.  Along with photoshop (which, BTW is crazy cheaper when you are a student!) and handed it to me in a gift bag filled with flowing tissues one day after work!  I really don't give my hubby enough credit for how great is.  I like to rip on him, it's fun.  Now though, I think that I really need to start giving him more props for how truley amazing and self-less he is.  I had asked if he would get me a camera for my next Christmas and B-day present, but ended up getting it a surprising 8 months early!  Yay!  So here I am about to start my Digital Photography Certificate this fall at Collin County Community College.

What is on the docket you might ask?  Well, let me tell ya... an exciting-

Intermediate Digital Photography
Advanced Digital Photography
Architectural and Landscape Photography
and
Photoshop for Digital Photographers

I will also be going for the Winter semester for just a couple of months and then I will have already completed this certificate.
Cheers to my lovely and supportive husband!

  1. Good for you! What equipment did you get? I should maybe take some classes some day. I have just learned trial and error. . . it's hard work, but it's been fun! I will have to take classes though if I ever finally get photoshop. I have yet to take the plunge and buy it. For now I use free stuff like picasa :) But you are right, it's so much cheaper for students. Mike has two semesters left I think. . . so I better hurry!

  5. Kel got me a Sony a230. Which I guess he loved because it has image stabilization built into it and you don't have to have that each time you buy a new lens. It's a good starter camera anyway. Ami, I would love to... assuming one day I might just have some mad skills!

  6. Yeah the stabilization will be nice. I have to watch which lenses I buy. I am hoping to sale my camera soon and upgrade my camera. The one thing I didn't realize when starting this hobby is how much I would be upgrading LOL!
