Gratitude
Last night we had a very precious moment with Aubryn. Sometimes I forget just how much she takes into her little body. We have had the privilege to interact with the Sistas (short for Sister Waulsh, Hokonsin, and now Borg) almost on a daily basis and it really has helped to fill my spiritual cup. Last night I realized that spending time with them doesn't just help me to feel the Spirit ... my sweet little Bryn has been feeling It too. Aside from all the joking that goes on, last night they had a very special message for us. It was about when Jesus was resurrected and went to the visit the Nephites. He prayed with them, healed the sick, and blessed their little ones. After they left I read two of Aubryn's little kids books of Christ and then Kel came into her room for our family prayer. She was kneeling on her bed with her head in her pillow. At the close of the prayer I hear a few sniffles from under her blanket. I turn her head out of her pillow and she is crying. I ask her why she is crying and she replies, "I miss my Jesus. I need Him." Wow! What a sure way to bring tears to mine and Kel's eyes. Even when I don't think she is paying attention she lets me know in her own way that she has felt His presence in our home. I am so grateful for the spirit of the missionaries and I am especially grateful that it has overflowed and touched my daughter.
