New News!

I guess it is time to make this FB official. Kel started a job several months ago where he can work from home and travel a little leaving us able to live in about any 20 states. After much prayer and thought, we have decided that the place that we want to raise our family is dun dun dun.... Glenwood Springs, CO! We are beyond excited for the amazing opportunity it is to live in such a beautiful and amazingly fun place. I lived there as a child and absolutely loved it. It is a small resort touristy mountain town 30 miles outside of Aspen. Our house in Castle Rock is under contract and we have placed an offer on a house up in the mountains (just 4 miles from the ski resort there). Rand McNally and USA Today voted Glenwood Springs the Most Fun Town in America in 2011. Glenwood was also ranked number 5 in the Top Seven Ski Towns in America. So friends and family, please come stay with us for your vacations! You will love it! We feel very blessed and grateful for this opportunity and I am on pins and needles waiting to get there! McKendrick munchkins make me happy

It was time to take some new photos for my wall above my mantle. It has been almost 4 years now that I have been looking at the same pictures and it is high time for an update. Especially since we have another child now. As I was going through these photos I couldn't help but think about how fitting it was to be editing these photos today as it is Thanksgiving, and I am the most thankful for my family and my Savior Jesus Christ who has blessed me and my family so immeasurably. Joy and Peace. Those are two words that describe what my children do for me. Never in my life have I found as much joy as I do being a wife and a mother. It's funny...peace in my life has come in a much different way than a lot of the world would describe it. Raising three rowdy kids doesn't seem like it would be peaceful. Especially as I am typing and my keys on my keyboard are lathered in chap stick (compliments of Ambreigh) grrr....but yet it makes me smile. Life is good.
